1. Scope
This policy explains how Krisprad Pty Ltd, trading through its Krisprad Health division, handles information in connection with the Krisprad Health Companion application and its modules.
2. Health information entered into the app
Information a user enters into Krisprad Health Companion—such as health measurements, appointments, medicines, allergies, notes and similar details—is stored locally on that user’s device.
Krisprad does not operate a patient account or application server that receives, stores or can access this user-entered health information. Information is not sent to Krisprad or to a healthcare practice unless the user intentionally exports or shares it using a function available on their device.
3. Accounts and identifiers
The app does not require a Krisprad patient account. Krisprad does not use user-entered health information for advertising, tracking, profiling or data brokerage.
4. Device services and backups
The app operates within the security and storage environment of the user’s device. Device operating systems and services provided by Apple or other platform providers may process technical information needed to distribute, install, update or operate applications.
Depending on the user’s device and backup settings, application data may be included in a device or cloud backup managed by the user and their platform provider. Those backups are controlled through the user’s device or account settings and are governed by the relevant provider’s terms and privacy policy.
5. Sharing and exports
If the app allows information to be exported or shared, the action is initiated by the user. The user chooses the recipient and sharing method. After information leaves the app, its handling is governed by the recipient and the service used to share it.
Users should check recipients carefully and use secure methods when sharing health information.
6. Retention and deletion
Information stored in the app remains on the user’s device until it is edited or deleted by the user, the app’s data is cleared, or the app is removed. Copies in device or cloud backups may remain until those backups expire or are deleted under the platform provider’s processes.
Because Krisprad does not receive or hold the user-entered health information, Krisprad cannot retrieve or delete it remotely.
7. Support enquiries
If a user contacts us for support, we receive the information they choose to provide, such as their name, email address, device details and description of the issue. Users should not send health information unless it is necessary and they are comfortable doing so.
Support information is used to respond, investigate issues and maintain appropriate records. It is retained only as long as reasonably required for those purposes and legal obligations.
8. Children
The app is not directed to children independently of a parent, guardian or responsible healthcare arrangement. A parent or guardian should supervise use where appropriate.
9. Security
The privacy of locally stored information depends partly on the security of the user’s device. Users should enable device access controls, keep software updated and avoid sharing device credentials.
No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Access, correction and complaints
Users can view, update or delete information held within the app using the controls available on their device. For information provided directly to Krisprad through a support enquiry, users may request access or correction or make a privacy complaint using the contact details below.
We will acknowledge and consider privacy complaints and respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or, for relevant NSW health privacy matters, the Information and Privacy Commission NSW.
